Walking Whether you are a hill walker
of experience or just a beginner the whole area abounds with delightful
walks. Ben Lawers, one of Scotland's highest mountains at 1214 meters is a
serious challenge, as is the Tarmachan Ridge which overlooks the village,
but the views from the top are magnificent. For the experienced mountaineer
there are numerous other 'Munros' within a twenty mile radius of Killin, but
you should be a seasoned hill walker and well equipped with map, compass and
good local weather information before tackling any of these.
Away from the high peaks there are plenty of more gentle walks, of
varying lengths, in Glen Dochart, Glen Lochay and Glen Lyon, or around
the head of Loch Tay. Maps and advice is available from the shop.
We look forward to meeting you and enjoy yourselves on the hills. The
links opposite provide information on walks found in the surrounding
area.
Killin Outdoor Centre are happy to supply
